What I Eat For Breakfast

Hello Loves,

I often get asked what I eat for breakfast.  Honestly, I normally have fruits in some form or another to break my nightly fast. Especially, now since the summer has arrived and some of the juiciest fruits are in season.  Fruits are easily absorbed when you eat them first thing in the morning.  This also gently wakes up your system.  You will feel satisfied but not weighed down because this is a light breakfast that provides the energy you need to start your day.

My top 3 favorite fruit breakfasts are as follows:

1) Fruit Bowl

This option is probably the most easiest.  All you need to do is clean and chop up your fruit.  This is the fastest option because you can throw the fruits in a reusable container and go off to work or wherever you are on the run to next.

2) Smoothie Bowl

Now this option probably takes the most time out of all 3 of these options.  But this is a nice relaxing treat when you are home to enjoy it or you can purchase a ready made smoothie bowl in a restaurant. To make the base  of your smoothie bowl you can just blend fruits, in water, juice, or nut milk.  Add in some super foods to make this bowl extra nutritious.  Try dates, hemp seeds, coconut oil, etc.  Once you blend the items for your smoothie bowl, you can use your favorite toppings such as nuts, mulberries, goji berries, and other fruits to top it off.

3) Smoothie

This is my ultimate favorite breakfast.  Just take your favorite fruits, extra add ins, and blend with a liquid.  Pour it into a cup and voila you are done!  A nutritious breakfast in liquid form.  Click here for one of my favorite smoothie recipes.

I love having fruit for breakfast and pretty much anytime throughout the day.  The only times I don’t have a fruit based breakfast are pretty much while I am on vacation, having brunch, or basically skipped breakfast (which happens mostly on the weekends so don’t judge me lol.)

I hope you enjoyed this post.  What are your favorite go to healthy breakfast eats?  Comment below.
