Weekend Recap: Wedding, Recital, & Brunch

Hello Loves,

This past weekend was a pretty busy one.  So much happened and I caught some of the moments on camera but I do not have enough footage to actually put up a video blog.  So I will give you the details here.

Friday started off with me heading off to the courthouse. Chill it’s not what you think lol.  My baby brother got married to his now wife and I was there to witness there love being taken to the next level.  I was amazed at how quickly the ceremony was performed.  I actually liked that it was not long and drawn out lol.  I don’t know why growing up in a Haitian household court weddings had such a bad wrap.

We ended up going to the College Park Diner afterwards for some breakfast. This was my first time at this diner and the food was really good.  I don’t know how I didn’t find this place prior to this day.

That evening my brother and his new bride had a reception in honor of their new union.  Of course I did the decor. The feel I was going for was romantic, grown, & sexy.  (Follow my events page @exceptionaleventsbyesther for more pics.)

Saturday was basically recovery day for me.  I slept in and had a few errands to run.

Sunday I got the chance to see my goddaughter in her first ballet recital.  I am very proud of her first performance.  Brunch at Gringos & Mariachis followed.  If you ever are in the Bethesda, MD area, I definitely recommend this place for drinks.  Their drinks are always good.  I didn’t get a picture but I had the guacamole, elote loco (minus the cheese), trés leches cake, mimosas, and a ginger hibiscus margarita (which was delicious.)

We ended up at Gisele’s for dinner.  I always enjoy the food when I’m there.

My weekend overall was great.  I did post clips on my IG stories so don’t forget to follow me @yesherestherj so you can keep up with me.

Hopefully you had a wonderful weekend as well.

Remember you only have one life so live it be-U-tifully, by being you to the fullest.

Peace & Love,

Esther J
