My Favorite Brunch Spot in DC| Weekend Recap

Hello Loves,

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you know brunch is my favorite meal of the day 🙂  I wish I could have a full out brunch experience everyday but unfortunately this is not the case.  Most brunch experiences are held on Saturdays and Sundays. But I was extremely happy this past weekend to go to brunch with my girl, Stephanie in honor of her birthday which was a little while ago but who needs a reason to go to brunch lol?

Last Saturday we went to my favorite brunch spot in DC, Farmers Fishers Bakers.  I have been coming here for years.  This place is the sister restaurant to the place I went for birthday brunch, Farmers & Distillers.  (If you missed that post you can check it out by clicking on the link here.)

Although both restaurants offer a buffet style weekend brunch there are a few differences as it pertains to the food options served.

I love that Farmers & Distillers has a variety of donuts and their Peach Bellini is awesome.  However at Farmer’s Fishers Bakers  (FBB) I love their crab artichoke dip, french toast, whipped cream, and char-grilled zucchini. Both restaurants offer delicious fried shrimp which the waiters will bring around to your table upon request.  Most of these foods mentioned are not necessarily healthy however, they are delicious 🙂

Don’t get me wrong the food at Farmers & Distillers is equally just as yummy and freshly made with local ingredients as FFB however, there are a few things they do not offer which makes me prefer FFB.

Farmers Fishers Bakers is also located on the Georgetown waterfront which is perfect for an after meal stroll.  Street parking is easier to find and parking is free on Sundays.

Overall we had a great time.  We tried their seasonal Brunch Bowl for the first time, which was a large raspberry margarita drink with champagne added, served in pretty decorated bowl. This drink serves 2-4 people. It was simply delicious.

If you are ever in the area check out both of these restaurants. Who knows, you may like Farmers & Distillers more than FFB.  For either one you choose, it is best to make a reservation as soon as you know you want to visit, because their brunch schedule books up pretty quickly and wait times are long.

I hope you enjoyed this post.  What is your favorite spot for brunch?  Feel free to leave it in the comment section below.

Remember you only have one life to live, so live it be-U-tifully by living it to the fullest.

  1. Esther introduced me to FFB and it’s definitely my favorite brunch spot. One things I love about Farmers $ Distillers is their friend chicken.
