I am by no means a makeup guru, I just like to throw on a little powder here and there to look presentable from time to time. Recently I found myself online watching tons of make up tutorials on YouTube which inspired me to add a few makeup items to my current collection. Below are my faves, some are new and some are staple makeup products from my current collection.
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette
I own eyeshadows from the typical drugstore brands like Maybelline, Almay, and Nyx, but hands down this eyeshadow palette is my all time favorite. In doing my research, I saw reviews that this eyeshadow palette tops the popular Urban Decay Naked palette which I was looking into getting because they had great reviews as well. I absolutely love this eyeshadow palette. The eyeshadow colors are beautiful, creamy, and very pigmented. Not to mention the palette smells sweet and yummy. Another great thing about this palette is that it has a pamphlet with a step by step instruction guide to achieve a few eye looks.
Plain Jane Beauty Foundation & L’Oreal True Match Powder
I have been using the Plain Jane Beauty Foundation for a few years now, prior to that I used Bare Minerals. I like this powder foundation but after watching a few YouTube videos realized I needed a powder to set my makeup. After searching YouTube I stumbled upon a few reviews for the L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable powder which I have used in the past. This got good reviews for being a pretty good all over face powder so I recently went ahead and repurchased it.
Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara
This waterproof mascara is pretty good. I have been using it for a few years now. It adds volume, and accentuates your eyes.
I love Mac Lipsticks especially the matte ones. They last long and are good quality. My favorite Mac lipstick is Heroine. This shade is creamy, matte, and overall a fun color to add to your lips.
PNK Digger Lip Products
I wear these lip colors almost everyday. I love that these lip colors are free of a lot of the toxic ingredients such as parabens which are included in other makeup and beauty products. Not to mention they are currently under $10 each. What drew me to this line of products was in the beginning all of the lip colors were named after streets in Atlanta, which is where I lived for 4 years while I attended college. So the dork in my found that to be cool. Also, I like that this is a black owned business, which I love supporting.
Plain Jane Beauty Concealer
I love that this concealer comes in stick form, I can just add it directly to the areas that need it then blend it in. This product is good quality, creamy, and the coverage is good.
