Haitian Ladies Brunch |Weekend Recap Vlog

Hello Loves,

This past weekend was quite an eventful one.  On Saturday, I celebrated my mom’s birthday with her by taking her on the Odyssey in DC for a brunch cruise.  Unfortunately, I don’t have any footage from this outing, because I wasn’t planning on vlogging this weekend, however, I can say it was a wonderful experience.  On Sunday, I had the honor of attending the annual Haitian Ladies Brunch at the Embassy of Haiti in Washington DC for the very first time.

The Haitian Ladies Brunch was an awesome event, it felt very inviting and empowering. I left there feeling inspired from all of the positive energy felt from being around all of the inspiring individuals who were in attendance.  While there I was able to link up with a few friends and family members.

My Takeaways:

The Embassy is quite a large building with 2 long but beautiful sets of staircases visitors can use to tour the facility. Since it was my very first time attending a function there I did not much thought into whether or not I should wear heels.  Next time I know better, I will at least bring a pair of flats with me or wear wedged, platformed heels.

Also, I know a game was written down and handed to attendees upon arrival, however I did not see anyone playing this game.  It would have been nice to have someone explain the game or host a mixer game in the initial holding area, prior to entering the building.

Other than those 2 things, I honestly cannot wait until next year’s event. I plan on attending all of the events.  The happy hour, symposium, mixer, and brunch.

Have you ever attended a brunch function?  If so drop the name of the event in the comment section below. I love attending functions where brunch is involved 🙂

Remember you only have one life to live so live it Be-U-tifully by being you to the fullest.

Peace & Love,
