I miss you guys! It feels like I have not made a blog post in forever. Hence, I will be going back to my usual routine schedule of writing two blog posts per week 🙂
Anyway back to today’s blog post which is about my best friend Rachelle’s birthday celebration. This past Saturday I was in event planner mode to make my bestie’s vision come to life with her birthday celebration dinner. Ok so really she just told me the colors (which were black, white, and gold) and gave me permission to allow my creativity to flow for this event.
I began making some of the decorations earlier last week, for example I free handed the inspirational words which were displayed on the dessert table, arranged the flower centerpiece, and assembled the DIY vases.
On Saturday after my usual morning run, I prepared the last minute details for Rachelle’s dinner party. For her event this time around I made a few desserts. I made white chocolate covered oreos and almond flavored cupcakes. I iced and decorated these items a few hours prior to dinner.
Dinner was at the only Haitian restaurant currently in our area, Gisele’s Creole Cuisine. The food was good per usual, and I had my favorite drink from this place on deck, which is their rum punch.
Of course I managed to vlog throughout this event. Check out the footage here:
Overall, Rachelle’s dinner party was definitely fun. I want to send out a special thank you to all those who helped me setup and breakdown the decor items for this event, Kashia, Manny, Tambra, and Kayla (yes my little goddaughter helped decorate for her mommy.) Kayla was actually surprisingly quite helpful.
I would love to hear from you. What did you do this past weekend?
Remember you only have one life so live it Be-U-tifully 🙂
Peace & Love,
