Accepting That Which You Cannot Change

Hello Loves,

The leaves are falling, the temperature is dropping.  Fall is inevitably here.

Did I mention, I am by no means a fan of the fall season? This to me is an indication that the brutally cold winter is rapidly approaching.  Since I am an island girl by the blood flowing through my veins, naturally the fall and winter are my least favorite seasons.

However, instead of fighting the weather change I have no other choice than to accept it. It is just like many other things in life which we have little to no control over.  What else is there to do?  Here are a few things you can do to make it a little easier.

Let go.  There is no point in trying to control something you have no control over.  You will just drive yourself crazy.

Be present. Do not worry about how this situation played out in the past or what may happen in the future. Deal with the situation in real time.  This could be the perfect time to create new memories surrounding the occurrence by trying something different than what you would normally do.

Listen to your inner voice.  Let your intuition guide you towards what feels right regarding  dealing with the situation.  That feeling in your gut is there for a reason 🙂

Control your reaction. Things happen but one thing for sure is you most certainly make the call over how you act as a a result of said action.  Are you going to fight the inevitable? Ignore it?  Or will you choose to embrace it and focus on the things you can do to make the experience a better one?

Personally, I am choosing to use this season as an opportunity to cuddle up to a few good self help books and continue to improve my video editing skills 🙂

Comment below with what you plan on shifting your focus towards to help you accept that which you cannot change.

Remember you only have one life to live, so live it Be-U-tifully by being you to the fullest.

Peace & Love,

Esther J
