30 Day Raw Fruit & Veggie Challenge Update

Hello Loves,

As of today I am halfway through my 30 day raw fruit and veggie fast. Although it has been far from easy, I am still hanging in there. If you are interested in joining or doing something similar, here are my tips that are helping me make it through this challenge.

Keep Things Fresh

Eating fruits and vegetables exactly the same way day in and day out can get old quick. This time around I made at least one new recipe every 3-4 days. I searched online for recipes or got creative by putting together ingredients I thought would mesh well together.

Be Prepared

If you are not prepared when hunger strikes you will have temptations being thrown at you left and right.  It is currently a priority for me to make my meals ahead of time and store them properly so that way after work dinner is already ready.  Keeping dried fruits, raw nuts, and other healthy snacks on hand has been  a life saver.  I keep some at my desk at work and in my car. Once you are prepared you will be less likely to succumb to temptation.

Drink Water

I make sure I sip on water throughout the day.  Also I drink a glass of water before I have a meal, which helps me better assess if I truly am hungry or not.

Keep Your Eyes On The Prize

I follow people on social media who are eating raw.  I check out the meals they are making which helps motivate and inspire me to prepare new dishes.  I also love looking up fitness pages to help motivate me and help me stick with this regimen to get my results.

Be Easy

I don’t beat myself up.  I ate some nuts which were dry roasted because I forgot to read the label.  But I didn’t beat myself up about it, moving forward I will simply be more careful when purchasing items by taking my time to read the labels.
